Why Early Speech Support Matters in Springvale

Early communication skills play an important role in a child’s social development, learning and confidence. When speech or language difficulties are identified early, children often respond well to targeted support and can build stronger communication foundations for school and everyday life.

In communities like Narre Warren, where many families have young children attending kinder and primary school, early speech and language support can help children participate more confidently in classroom activities, play with peers and express their ideas clearly.

Parents often seek speech therapy when they notice challenges such as unclear speech, difficulty understanding instructions, limited vocabulary or frustration when trying to communicate. Early intervention allows therapists to address these concerns before they begin to affect learning or social interactions.

Through evidence-based speech pathology support, children can develop the skills needed for conversation, storytelling, literacy and meaningful communication with others.

As parents, we tried to encourage our kid to speak and even roped in their educators but were largely unsuccessful as they were resistant and unwilling despite our best efforts. We reached out to Pauline for an initial discussion around our concerns and started speech sessions, initially weekly, then fortnightly, before reducing sessions to monthly due to the progress that our kids' made. We would like to thank Pauline and especially her team member, Jiaying, who has made a huge difference to our lives. Jiaying was patient, endearing and made learning unassumingly effortless and fun. Jiaying was very much well-loved by our kiddo, who often asks when she is coming to our home. Pauline was readily available to answer any questions we had. Our kid can now access and use alot more words and has also transformed into a much more confident speaker who even volunteers to sing and dance along in front of a crowd. Even the educators were amazed by their growth. BIG THANK YOUU team, we really appreciate the help and support that was provided every step of the way^^
